Marbled type. Strong flavoured, reliable, and considered to be high yielding. These plants are a little later in maturation. 6 - 8 cloves per bulb. Fairly hot garlic.
The advantage to bulbils are that you can bulk up garlic at a cheaper price than purchasing garlic bulbs.
Bulbils can be planted in the spring. That fall, dig up your bulbils in August, cure them & replant your best looking ones when you would normally plant garlic - in October or November. The following year they should produce "rounds" by the end of summer. Do the same for these as you did the first year. In year 3 your harvest should result in a small bulb. Split the bulb & replant to keep going with your own garlic stock. Rocambole bulbils start larger than other families of garlic, so you will end up with larger garlic bulbs sooner than other varieties.
