This variety is completely of eastern Ontario! It is bred by our friend Telsing Andrews of Aster Lane Edibles, this variety bears her local farm's name as a legacy. This is a mix of cold-hardy kales by only saving seeds from those that survived the winter unprotected. Lots of diversity in this mix, although it's primarily curly kale with red and green colouration. Try seed-saving yourself with this variety! Plant a crop in mid-summer, after a couple harvests leave the plants alone and they may come back next year to produce early-season food and mid-season seeds. Transplant early for best results - will produce until heavy freeze in November.
